Sunday group sewing workshop and individual sewing classes.
Lana Gerimovich is pleased and excited to offer individual and group sewing classes/workshop for all ages and all levels of experience.
We have two different options:
Individual sewing class is $150/per session and is being held from Thursdays to Saturdays:
- Morning session from 8am to 10am
- Evening session from 6pm to 8pm
Group sewing “workshop” is $50/per session (2 hours long) on every Sundays. We have three sessions with the limit of 4 students per session as below:
- 1st session from 10:00am to 12:00pm
- 2nd session from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
- 3rd session from 2:00pm to 4:00pm* Sunday group sewing workshop is planned to resume during the Summer.
Both group sewing workshop and individual sewing class are a two hour session at our Scottsdale Boutique.

Group Sewing Workshop: This is for beginners with the basic knowledge of operating sewing machine as well as intermediate students
What we offer:
At this Sunday workshop, we will give a master knowledge for you to learn vintage couture tailoring technique, construction garment technique, and decorative sewing techniques.
Also, you will gain the special variation of hand/stitching skill, guidance of transformation from sketches to patterns, high-end of fashion making focused on quality couture garment.
This workshop is the best source of learning advanced sewing skills for anyone with experienced sewing skills.
Not only sewing techniques, we will give you knowledge between mass-producing and bespoke made garment that we Alis Fashion Design specialize in, which is based on type of your body, and defining your own style.
Sunday workshop has three sessions; 1st session from 10:00 am to 12:00pm, 2nd session from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, 3rd session from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Each session of workshop is no more than 5 students, so that learners benefits from the expert guidance to the full.
$50/per session, and each session lasts two hours long.
If you wish, you can stay longer until 4:00pm by paying $25/hour.
Things to bring:
- Your own project!! This workshop is something you create yourself. Bring your own projects that you want to achieve with the help of our instructor Lana Gerimovich.
With the information all above, you will succeed to complete your project with us!
Project examples are…tailoring, alterations, creating your own custom made skirt, making a pattern based on your own body measurements, etc..
*For tailoring projects, please bring your own clothing. Used clothing from thrift store is preferred as a practice.

- Please note that course are offered on first come first serve bases
- For the best result, you’ll be expected to do some of the work at your own time
We have “2 days” cancellation policy which means that if you let us know your cancellation two days before, we will give you a full refund. Once we receive payment at least a week before the sewing workshop, your seat is finally “reserved”. If we don’t receive payment by 7 days before the workshop even though you sent us reservation email, it means that your seat is not reserved yet.
By having this cancellation policy, we can give a seat, which someone cancels, to another potential sewing student who wants to join since only 4 people are allowed for 1 session (2 hours) and seats are very limited. We would like to give an opportunity to those who are eager to learn.
Individual Sewing Class: this is the great way if you are a very beginner to the sewing world, not familiar with your own sewing machine. Instructor Lana Gerimovich teaches you one-on-one session to introduce you a basic sewing and alterations such like below:
Get to know the basics of sewing and garment construction with this introduction to sewing skills and theory! Over the course, students will become familiar with different machine stitches and their functions; how to follow basic patterns; the correct use of chalk, rulers, scissors, and pins; different hand seams and finishes; and attaching buttons, hook-and-eye closures, and elastic. You can learn on our machines or bring your own! With rich experience in teaching sewing classes to a wide variety of students, Lana Gerimovich teaches you a simple, easy class where you’re sure to gain basic sewing skills!
This class helps you become comfortable doing basic alterations on your own. The topics include taking seams apart and adjusting seams on shirts, jackets, dresses, pants, skirts, and other garments. Finally, you will finish that pair of pants you’ve been wanting to shorten, or that dress or shirt you’ve always wanted to take in!
