Due to the spread of mass-manufactured clothing globally, people are not aware anymore how much time creating one garment takes. Especially, couture dresses requires a huge amount of time to put in for the achievement of details, seamless seams, and perfect fit because every piece is “handmade”. We totally agree with Azzedine Alaia who spoke in the interview of The Business of Fashion that he does not do fashion just for the show because he believes creating one masterpiece is much more meaningful than creating a series of collections just for the show.

Our bespoke dress designer Lana Gerimovich defines Alis Fashion Design as “When the Necessity Meets Luxury.” People who cannot find the dresses for special occasions in the market come to us, which is defined as “necessity.” Less designers have the skill of “bespoke” “couture sewing” techniques, which is now considered  “luxury.”

We create bespoke couture wedding and evening dresses for those clients who recognize the value and moreover appreciate highest quality craftsmanship; that is why we are not creating a numerous dresses to be showcased at the fashion shows.
