Last week bespoke dress designer Lana Gerimovich had the pleasure of attending London Fashion Weekend 2015 for the first time on September 24th.
Right after the completion of London Fashion Week from September 17th to 22nd, this year’s London Fashion Weekend was held at Saatchi Gallery in Duke of York Square in King’s Road, which some of you may know as the hub of the hippie and punk fashion bloomed in 1960s. Needless to say, the city, blend of cultures, and of course the runway fashions left nothing to be desired! What is in this season? The question is what isn’t in. Plaids, leather, furs; color blocking, bohemian, knits; stripes, mod, animal print and flashy. It was truly an experience, and inspirational to see such high couture garments made from quality fabrics walking down the runway! What a sight to see in person.
This year’s headline designers were House of Holland, Peter Pilotto, ISSA and Christopher Raeburn.
ISSA opened LFWEnd of 1st day by its collection on September 24th. As my design focuses on femininity, ISSA creates feminine, colorful, glamorous fashion for women to empower elegance and class. Their fall/winter collection features classic black dresses, monotone animal prints, bold red gowns and more.
Each piece is timeless, and we really see the reason of why this brand became world-known and the most high profile women wore their pieces such as the British singer, Jessie J at the famous TV show, The Voice.
Lana Gerimovich was also able to meet and greet with several designers, company owners, retailers and all around fashion gurus. It was so wonderful for her to be surrounded by so many people who love couture fashion as much as she does. She is looking forward to attending next year too!
